Description
Of all the beautiful flowers that grow in my Alakan garden, I know I can always count on the poppies to bloom and thrive. They bloom both where they are planted and wherever their seeds drift. They bloom through rocks, grass, or gravel. They bloom even after the harshest of winters. And always they remind me that "up from the ashes, grow the roses of success."

This piece really captures me! Was there a lot of palette knife involved? I've been inclined to do a painting primarily with a palette knife soon. The vibrancy of this piece really urges me to move forward. Beautiful work!
Talya Johnson replied:
Thank you, Paula! Yes mostly palette knife work...with the last bit of edge work done with a brush.
